Memória Roubada

Movement & Music Response to Art.

This performance was a movement response choreographed by Thania Acarón to Ana María Pacheco's exhibition of Memoria Roubada I & II, with original music inspired by the art work composed by Ross Whyte. The exhibition was held at the University of Edinburgh Catholic Chaplaincy and coordinated by Fr. Dermot Morrin. Ana María Pacheco's work is currently in exhibition at Pratt Contemporary Art Gallery.

This performance is a representation of interdisciplinary artistic inquiry, and embodied processes. It is response through to body to the intriguing themes of colonisation, cultural identity and, as the title evokes, memory and its many manifestations.
